How To Speak Geordie

 THE GEORDIE DICTIONARY

Visitors to the region often find it hard to understand the Geordie language which is a mixture of Anglo,Saxon(English), Celtic (Scottish) and Norse (Viking).

As most people in the region know the city of Newcastle is soon to be "Twinned" with the Indonesian Capital of Jakarta. Therefore many geordies will be visiting our new friends in Jakarta and lots of Indonesians will be visiting Newcastle. We thought that it would be a good idea to prepare a Geordie/English/Indonesian dictionary to help us all to communicate better.

the geordie text translation is Phonetic and should be pronounced as seen, as there are more than one way to spell many Geordie words.
